“Diogo de Brito Sales comes from an Afro-Indigenous heritage. He was born and bred in a working-class family, in Rio de Janeiro. Due to the influence of his father, a Brazilian percussionist, he grew up playing percussion and “Capoeira”, and found himself drawn to performing arts at an early age.

His career started, as a percussionist/actor at age sixteen, on a mainstream stage in Rio. Also, being an ensemble actor from “Nós do Morro”, a community theatre company based in a slum.

He then was invited, by Cicely Berry, to “The RSC Complete Works Festival”. And in 2009, he moved to London, to further pursue his dream of becoming an international actor, after playing shows at the “Young Vic” and “Barbican”. Afterwards, he started training at the Identity Drama School of Acting. Years later, he graduated from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Acting for Screen.

Diogo’s on-screen debut was a recurring role in season 6 of “Game of Thrones” on HBO.
